Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate National Poetry Month with local poet Harriet Shenkman, whose most recent collection of poems titled Wonder Wheel was published in October 2023.

Her collection captures the circular nature of life.  She both recalls her ancestors and rears her children in these poems alongside its unpredictability.

Harriet Shenkman is the current Poet-in-Residence at the JCC of MidWestchester. She is a professor emerita at City University of New York. Her poetry awards include the Women’s National Book Association Annual Contest and the Women Who Write International Poetry Contest

Joining her will be poet Suzanne Cleary.

Hosted on Zoom. Free and open to all. Register HERE.

This program is a collaboration between Warner Library, Chappaqua Library, Mount Pleasant Public Library, John C. Hart Memorial Library, Pound Ridge Library, Tuckahoe Public Library, and Harrison Public Library.
