Kick off Children's Book Week: Monday, May 6 from 11-5 stop by the library to explore our new bilingual StoryWalk featuring the book Nieve in the Snow / Snow in the Jungle by Ariane Hofmann-Maniyar translated by Yanitzia Canetti on the library grounds. Pick up activity sheets related to the story in the children's room. Weather permitting.

A StoryWalk is an interactive literacy activity that engages all ages to read the pages of picture books displayed on sequential signage in outdoor community spaces.

Nieve en la jungla/Snow in the Jungle. The book explores the emotions of the character Nieve/Snow who has migrated to a new place, language, culture, and (hopefully!) to a new group of friends. Thanks to Child’s Play Inc. for their generous permission to use this title as a StoryWalk and Banacom Sign for designing the StoryWalk signage.
