The Peekskill Riots Episode 3: "Up on the Hillside, Down in the Hollow" Screening

Documentary filmmaker Jon Scott Bennett returns for the screening of Episode 3 of his Peekskill Riots docu-series. 

This episode focuses on the first riot, which occurred on August 27th, 1949. Paul Robeson's concert was attacked by a racist and antisemitic mob outside of Peekskill, NY. The violence would become a national scandal, as anti-communist rhetoric had now culminated in physical violence.

This screening is free and open to all. No registration is required.
