Texting, the windshield wiper, the dishwasher, GPS, the covid vaccine were invented by women. A woman finished the Brooklyn Bridge. A woman created the software code that enabled Neil Armstrong to walk on the moon decades ago.
Women were the driving forces behind the creation of two of our biggest holidays --Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving. A woman created the first computer program for blind and visually impaired users. The list goes on.
The program will also ask the audience, “who do you know who is a remarkable woman?” Share their stores here and help them shine.
This presentation will be held on the 3rd floor of the library. All are welcome to attend.
