Event Details

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month from September 15 - October 15,  our new StoryWalk® will feature a book written and illustrated by a Latino author and illustrator. Visit the library for a Sing-a-long StoryWalk®! The song Hola, Amigo written by Grammy winning duo 123 Andrés, illustrated by Sara Palacios comes to life on the storyboards as you walk, read and sing along. This lyrical story celebrates a global sense of community, friendship, love for one another, and diversity. You can scan the QR codes on each storyboard to listen to the song in English or in Spanish. We hope you enjoy this reading adventure!

A StoryWalk® is an interactive literacy activity that encourages all ages to walk, look and read and in this case sing the pages of a picture book displayed on storyboards in a community space (inside/outside).

With permission from Scholastic Inc., and 123 Andrés. With thanks to Ali Graphics for printing the boards.
